A black forest sponge made for sharing
A chocolate sponge layered with fresh cream and sour cherries, topped with more cream and cherries, with chocolate sprinkles around the side.
How it’s finished
The sponge is finished with chocolate shavings around the sides, piped cream rosettes, dark chocolate shards and a generous cluster of fresh strawberries and glace cherries in the centre.

Each Black Forest Sponge is made in-house at Melbourne Bakehouse on Bay Street in Port Melbourne. It is a good fit for birthdays, afternoon teas and fresh cream dessert tables where you want a whole sponge cake ready to serve.
